Elmina, a Nigerian-born singersongwriter based in Lagos, had a childhood immersed in music and art. "There was never a dull moment in my house growing up; our walls were always alive with sound, " she reminisces. Dance parties, karaoke nights, and old-school jams with her family fueled her dreams of becoming a global star and shaped the artist we know today as ELMINA. Despite her deep love for music, Elmina initially didn 't realize she had a talent for singing. "I just loved it, and nothing could dampen my joy. Music was my sanctuary, " she reflects. Her journey began unexpectedly when she stumbled into the junior church choir on a failed trip to the bathroom. This moment served as a catalyst, leading to numerous opportunities and a growing passion for performing.
