Starting as a member of the Apex Choir of the Celestial Church of Christ, where he now directs the music, he's also spent years creating soundtracks for Kunle Afolayan Productions. This journey, blending church roots with professional composition, has shaped his ability to create music that truly connects.

His latest release, Ore Ope Mash-Up, intertwines three fan favorites: the buoyant Ore Ope (2024), the soul-stirring Ebenezeri (2023), and the hopeful Iyanu (2024). Blending vibrant Afrobeat rhythms with rich Yoruba lyricism, the track is a tapestry of gratitude and praise. Listeners are swept into a celebration of devotion, punctuated by Kent’s signature harmonies and percussive energy. Familiar refrains evoke nostalgia, while fresh arrangements breathe new life into each hymn—a reminder of music’s power to heal and unite.

2024 marked a milestone year for Kent. Following a sold-out December concert featuring collaborations with top gospel artists, he capped the season with a surprise: Ebenezeri (French Version), recorded alongside a Parisian choir. This cross-cultural project, born from a shared love of worship, underscores his mission to transcend borders through melody. “Music is a universal language,” Kent says. “Whether in Yoruba or French, gratitude sounds the same.” With Ore Ope Mash-Up, he invites the world to listen—and rejoice.
