Brazilian songwriting legend Leandro Lehart takes a fresh turn with a new project reinterpreting international classics through a Brazilian lens. Known for penning countless samba hits, Lehart brings his signature sound to beloved songs. Using the cavaquinho, a distinctive Brazilian instrument, Lehart breathes new life into these beloved tunes.
Lehart’s first reimagining is “Loving Every Minute,” a soulful rendition of The Lighthouse Family’s 1995 smash hit.This track sets the stage for a collection of international favorites transformed by Lehart’s masterful touch.
A musical prodigy from São Paulo, Lehart was immersed in music from a young age. By nine, he formed a junior samba school, showcasing his early passion for the genre. Lehart picked up the cavaquinho at 13 and co-founded the group Art Popular with his brother in 1985. A leading figure in the 90s pagode movement, Lehart is a multi-talented artist with over 600 songs recorded.
