Hailing from Abuja, Nigeria, PsychoYP's love for music began at a young age, influencing his unique rap-sung trap style. His career skyrocketed in 2016 with the release of the "Lost In The Sauce" EP, followed by the chart-topping mixtape "YP Season" in 2018 and its 2019 sequel. The mixtape garnered him critical acclaim and nominations at prestigious award shows, including the South African Music Awards, HipTV Headies Awards, Soundcity MVP Awards, and Clout Africa Awards (Best Hip-Hop Artiste).
