Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hotnewafro.com and all related HOTNEWAFRO Network services, applications and storefronts (the "Platform"), operated by HOTNEWAFRO Entertainment Ltd., a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria ("HOTNEWAFRO", "we", "us").

By accessing the Platform, creating an account, buying a ticket or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or make a purchase. Accounts are personal to you.

• You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. Email verification is required before some features unlock.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us immediately at legal@hotnewafro.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Accounts may be upgraded to Creator status. Creator accounts are subject to any additional terms presented at the point of upgrade.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, is used fraudulently, or is used to abuse other users.

Tickets sold on the Platform may be sold by HOTNEWAFRO as the event organiser, or by us as an agent on behalf of a third-party organiser. The listing tells you which applies.

• A ticket is a revocable licence to attend the event, subject to the organiser's venue and admission rules.
• Tickets are issued electronically with a unique code. Duplicate, screenshotted or resold codes may be refused at the door; the first valid scan admits the holder.
• Prices are shown in the currency of the listing and may include booking or processing fees, which are stated before checkout.
• Commercial resale of tickets without our written consent is prohibited and may result in cancellation without refund.
• Line-ups, timings and venues can change. Material changes will be communicated to the email on your order.

The Platform sells physical merchandise and collectibles as well as digital items such as downloadable covers and digital editions.

• Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send order confirmation or, for physical goods, when we dispatch the item.
• Stock is limited and some drops are numbered or time-limited. If an item becomes unavailable after payment, we cancel and refund in full.
• Delivery timelines are estimates. Import duties and customs charges on international deliveries are the buyer's responsibility.
• Digital items are licensed for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute or mint them as separate products.
• Product images are representative; colour and finish may vary slightly between production runs.

Tickets

• Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable once issued, except as set out below or as required by law.
• If an event is cancelled, you receive a refund of the ticket face value. Booking fees are refunded where the cancellation is within our or the organiser's control.
• If an event is rescheduled, your ticket is valid for the new date. If you cannot attend, request a refund within 14 days of the reschedule announcement.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically settle within 5–14 business days depending on the processor and your bank.

Physical goods

• Report damaged, defective or incorrect items within 7 days of delivery with photographs. We will replace the item or refund it, including return shipping where the fault is ours.
• Unworn, unused items in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Return shipping is the buyer's cost unless the item was faulty.
• Made-to-order, personalised and final-sale drop items cannot be returned unless faulty.

Digital goods and services

• Digital downloads are non-refundable once the download or access has begun, unless the file is defective or was not delivered.
• Creator services purchased through the Platform are governed by the cancellation terms shown on the individual listing.

Refund requests go to support@hotnewafro.com with your order number. Raising a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (including, depending on the transaction, Paystack, Stripe, Paddle and Shopify). We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or bank credentials — those are handled by the processor under their own terms and privacy notices.

• You confirm you are authorised to use the payment method you submit.
• Orders may be held or cancelled where a processor flags a transaction for fraud or compliance review.
• Where a payment is taken in a currency other than your account currency, your bank's conversion rate and fees apply.
• Applicable taxes, including Nigerian VAT where chargeable, are shown or included at checkout.
• Creator payouts are subject to identity verification and the payout schedule shown in Creator Studio.

You may be able to post comments, reviews, profile information and, if you are a Creator, editorial or product submissions ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content.

• You grant HOTNEWAFRO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publish and promote your User Content on and in connection with the Platform.
• You confirm you have the rights to everything you submit, including any images, audio or quotes it contains.
• Prohibited: unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or infringing material; spam; scraped or AI-laundered content passed off as original reporting; impersonation; and anything that endangers minors.
• We may moderate, edit for style, refuse, remove or de-list User Content at our discretion, and may remove accounts that repeatedly breach these rules.
• Approved Creator submissions may be archived in our internal systems for editorial record-keeping.

The Platform, the HOTNEWAFRO and HNA names and logos, editorial content, photography, charts, designs and code are owned by HOTNEWAFRO Entertainment Ltd. or licensed to us. Third-party marks, artwork and recordings remain the property of their owners.

You may link to and quote short extracts of our articles with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish full articles, systematically scrape the Platform, or use our content to train machine-learning models without written permission.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, cart and checkout functionality, and for analytics that tell us which content and products perform. See our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy for the detail on what is collected, why, and how to control it.

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, and editorial content is provided for information, not as professional advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, HOTNEWAFRO is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. Our total liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the amount you paid for that transaction. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified on the Platform or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
